Switchfoot is an alternative rock band and also referred to as a Christian rock band, due to their involvement in Christian rock scene. However, they disagreed with the “religious label” for they believe that their music is “faith, not a genre”.

The band achieved mainstream recognition in the music industry when their music was featured prominently in a Nicholas Sparks’ movie adaptation, “A Walk to Remember” (2002). A year after, they released their major label debut Beautiful Letdown.

Secondhand Serenade - Vulnerable

Secondhand SerenadeSecondhand Serenade is famous for its acoustic singles that covers emotionally multifaceted stories that somehow related to one another. John Vesely, the man behind the Secondhand Serenade started to release his independent debut album entitled Awake in 2005, using just an acoustic guitar and his multi-tracked vocals to record the album. In August, 2010, Vesely released his third album, Hear Me Now.

John picked up Secondhand Serenade as a pseudonym because it indicates the way his songs were ‘serenades’ for his wife. In 2008, they broke up and his emotions can be felt in many of his songs.
